A well-known, growing retailer is looking for an Indirect Tax Consultant to join their Tax team. The company has continued to see unprecedented growth in the past decade and are now looking to add another member into their in-house tax team.

Your new role
This is an exciting new role in a fast moving environment which will test your organisational skills, and attention to detail. You will play a key role in supporting the performance of your Department, meaning you must align yourself with high standard the company holds itself to. You will have an interest role, which will allow you to apply and develop many skills. You will be responsible for managing the preparation, review and filing of tax returns, applications and claims (VAT, excise duties and other indirect taxes), performing Tax planning, litigation and assisting with Tax Audits, overseeing the company's compliance with the Construction Industry Scheme, as well as Analysing and advising on indirect tax aspects of operational transactions and processes, including property-related matters.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, ATT, CTA) or equivalent. You will possess in-depth knowledge and substantial experience of VAT and other Indirect taxes gained within practice or industry. Knowledge of another language (especially German) would be beneficial. You will be a keen individual who enjoys tackling tasks head on.
