Job Purpose
To implement the Global Indirect Tax strategy as it relates to the practical aspects of detailed Tax configuration of ERP and other related systems implementation at the company. The role will be focused on deploying the CERPs template to Brazil.
Key Responsibilities

* Full working knowledge of Brazil tax aspects of the global ERP template
* Proxy attendance at TRB meetings, where required
* Early Engagement
* Preparation for, and attendance at, onsite workshops to present the template and begin early information gathering
* Preparation of country specific information packs
* Scoping and Planning
* Preparation for, and attendance at, on site workshops to present suggested tax design, discuss feedback/concerns
* RAID log completion and follow-ups
* Verification of legal requirement & quantification of risk of non-compliance
* Detailed Design
* Finalise tax relevant aspects of ERP design, together with ERP team
* Stress testing of proposed solution
* Realisation
* System/Process Testing & preparation for sign-off
* Knowledge Transfer to operational team
* Go-live
* 'On-call' tax support to the ERP team in the 6 weeks post go-live period
* Ad-hoc Brazil tax relevant queries arising

Application of Knowledge

The individual will use Brazil tax knowledge to understand the tax treatment applicable to the company transactions and ERP knowledge to correctly configure tax codes and tables within the system to ensure that transactions are processed correctly
Problem Solving & Innovation
The role requires the ability to understand and apply tax analyses to complex chain transactions with multiple vendors and purchasers. The individual must have the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical situation
Interaction
The individual will be required to interact across multiple grades and varied disciplines, and to provide clear and concise explanations of problems and proposed solutions to other groups with little or no technical understanding of those issues. It will from time to time be necessary to secure buy-in for proposals from other groups (e.g. IT). It will also be necessary to provide explanations of system set up to Tax Authorities during tax audits.
This is a global role so an appreciation of all cultures will be required, particularly as they pertain to tax Authority attitudes
Impact
The role will impact the smooth running of the ERP systems and so potentially can have a large impact on the Tax compliance profile of the company. It will help prevent the incurring of penalties and provide assurance to tax Authorities that the company is exercising proper care and attention to its tax obligations.
