My client is currently looking for a Senior Tax Manager who will be responsible for assisting the Head of Investment and Operational Taxes in supporting investment structuring and tax risk management.
The main focus of the role will be taking control of the Investment Management activity across the group for both traditional and property investments, with a strong focus on UK real estate and investment strategies.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for managing the day to day relationship of Tax team with real estate and other investment management teams, requiring experience of corporate tax, income tax, capital gains tax, VAT, stamp duty and overseas tax regimes while developing relationships in a specialist business area.
The role has a varied and wide ranging remit, working collaboratively in a small advisory team with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement, and so requires someone who thrives in an environment where they will have multiple deliverables to manage.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant or tax professional. Experience of effective governance around investment management structuring and a solid working knowledge of tax technical issues for traditional and real estate investment are a must.
Additionally experience within the asset management industry will be highly desirable.
