Qualified VAT, Sales Tax and Customs Accountant, in-house at a global law firm
Your new company
This multinational law firm has more than 300 tax advisers spread across almost every continent. The global tax team supports a wide range of clients including FTSE 100/250 and Fortune 500 companies, addressing all the tax issues which arise from complex international commerce and changing legislation.
Your new role
You will be joining the global VAT team within a tightly knit UK tax team, which aims to: advise colleagues and clients on international tax issues; support our lawyers in the UK; and add value for the internal and external stakeholders we work with. You will help to provide cross border advice and support on all aspects of indirect tax including VAT, Sales Taxes and Customs duties, for projects involving finance, real estate, ESS, cross border goods and services, gambling tax and M&A work. In response to BEPS and the anticipation of Brexit, the London Tax team is now looking for an additional indirect tax accountant.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have at least 2 years post qualified experience (post-ACA or -CTA) in the area of indirect tax, gained at a leading practice firm or in industry within a multinational company. Additional experience of customs duties would be preferred. You will also have a solid academic background and you will have demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills in your previous roles.
