Tax Technical Director, Newcastle, to £six figures

Our client is a highly successful niche tax consultancy practice which services an impressive portfolio of clients across the country. It seeks an experienced high-level tax specialist who will report directly to the Managing Director and will have responsibility for the technical oversight of the firm’s tax advice. The role will involve client and staff relationship management as well as liaising with tax counsel, other professional advisors and HMRC. The successful candidate will have sound experience in providing tax consultancy advice (especially in the areas of remuneration planning and share schemes) to SME corporate / OMB clients alongside broadly based tax expertise. This is a very interesting and rewarding role which, in addition to cutting edge tax planning work, will involve tax enquiries and dispute resolution advice. You will have worked in a tax-planning role previously and will have strong interpersonal and communication skills. This is a role for someone who enjoys dealing with complex technical tax concepts, problem solving and developing new strategies.
