VAT Assistant Manager or VAT Manager, London

An exciting VAT career opportunity has arisen within the VAT department of this mid tier firm of Chartered Accountants in London.

As an experienced VAT Assistant Manager or (preferably) already a VAT Manager, you will be a confident client facer, familiar with managing a client portfolio and liaising with HMRC on their behalf when necessary. You will be experienced in providing VAT advice to a broad range of clients across a number of different industry sectors.

Only a small proportion of the role involves compliance, so this job will best suit someone who enjoys consultancy work. This will include dealing with client queries, undertaking reviews and due diligence and assisting senior colleagues with ad hoc projects, business development and work winning initiatives.

CTA qualified or qualified by experience, in addition to excellent soft skills, you will also be able to demonstrate good VAT technical knowledge, communicating this effectively and concisely in writing and verbally.
