Senior Tax Reporting and Compliance Manager, London, to £80k

This leading listed global insurance and reinsurance company, with assets of approximately $10 billion and operations in eight countries spanning Europe, the Americas and Asia is looking for a Group Tax Reporting & Compliance Manager to be based in the London Head Office. The role will to be responsible for the quarterly and annual external filing requirements for Tax matters for the Group, and to manage all UK Tax return compliance matters for corporation tax purposes (including overseas branches).

Main duties:

* Responsible for the preparation of the quarterly and annual ETR calculations, including all supporting information on current and deferred tax, including but not limited to relevant journal entries, and updates to papers on ASC 740 Uncertain Tax Positions
* Prepare the quarterly and annual tax reporting disclosures under US GAAP and in accordance with the requirements of the SEC.
* Prepare Tax information for inclusion in the CFO Report to the Group Audit Committee
* Liaise with external Auditors on Tax matters for Group Reporting and UK Financial Statements
* Responsible for the preparation and submission of UK Corporation Tax returns on a timely basis using OneSource, together with Payments on Account, management of iXBRL tagging (outsourced)

Required experience:

* Strong Tax Accounting and good knowledge experience of Tax Reporting under US GAAP
* Strong attention to detail and clear presentation of data
* Good level of written and spoken communication
* Ability to work under pressure and to meet competing and pressurized deadlines
* Ability to manage deadlines and demonstrate effective time management
