A close working relationship with front office ensures tax is always at the heart of the commercial operations. As Direct Tax Advisor, you will report to a Senior Direct Tax Manager in this award winning tax team and support with the corporate tax accounting, reporting and compliance obligations of Group. To be successful in this role you will have a strong foundation in UK corporate tax and tax accounting with experience of working in a multinational or professional services environment. In addition, employment tax or project-based experience will also be well regarded.

Key duties:

Assisting with managing the global outsourced corporation tax compliance
Assisting with head-office and subsidiary tax accounting on a monthly basis
Supporting tax management reporting activities including Effective Tax Rate, cash taxes, deferred taxes, balance sheet reconciliations and providing supporting analysis & commentary
Acting as a bridge between finance teams across the Group and external advisors in driving the corporate tax compliance process and provision of information required to prepare corporate tax computations and returns including all relevant claims and elections such as R&D and capital allowances claims
Assisting with enquiries raised by the tax authorities
Assisting with calculation of liabilities under the PAYE settlement agreement as well as support on various other employment tax matters
Ensuring that the Senior Accounting Officer requirements are met on a quarterly basis
Assisting with monitoring changes to UK legislation and providing UK corporate tax advice
Support with UK and international tax matters such as transfer pricing, treasury matters, controlled foreign companies and employment tax matters
Assisting the team with process improvement initiatives, including identification of opportunities and supporting new process/system change roll outs.


About you:

ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
UK Corporate Tax background
Tax accounting and reporting experience including IFRS knowledge
Tax advisory and project management experience preferable
Strong tax technology skills
