Main Responsibilities
• Liaising with the client and their advisors to obtain detailed construction cost information
• Analysing the documentation and liaising with our surveying team to fill in missing information and arrive at defendable valuations
• Investigating asset lives and business requirements to ensure expenditure allocated to the most appropriate capital allowances pool
• Liaising with the client and their advisors to obtain full details of the energy efficient / environmentally friendly plant and machinery
• Reviewing contamination reports to determine eligibility to claim land remediation relief
• Analysing expenditure incurred on repairs and dilapidations to ensure revenue deductions are claimed if appropriate
Experience
• Ideally you will have started the qualification process for MRICS and/or be willing to work towards Chartered qualification in another tax qualification (eg. ATT/CIOT)
• Strong technical skills and good working knowledge of Excel
• Project management skills (planning and prioritising work whilst meeting all deadlines)
• Team player; ability to integrate quickly, outgoing with good relationship skills
• A focus on the delivery of a quality project
