Financial / Management Accountant: Consumer Goods (Sport), Sydney

The Role

A blend of financial and management accounting; ideal for a newly qualified accountant looking for a "destination" career move. Expect to grow as an accountant, as you're encouraged to take on extra responsibilty, and build a personal brand throughout the business. Day-to-day, you'll report into a Finance Manager, taking the lead on:

* Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for the ANZ region
* Local interpretation and implementation of global accounting policies & procedures
* Month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, and ownership of related internal management reporting
* Cash flow projections and managing the relationship with the global Treasury team
* Exposure to a range of (senior) commercial stakeholders, from Procurement, to Customer Experience, to the
* Partnering with the regional MD, supporting commercial decisions and scoping out new business opportunities
* Designing and implementing a budgeting and planning process

You'll also be involved in:

* Tax preparation both locally and globally
* Supporting wholesale credit collections
* Expense reporting, acting as the link between the business and shared services

The potential to grow this role is uncapped, whether you choose to specialise in a particular area of accounting, travel overseas, or progress into senior management.

If you have a flair for stakeholder management, and confidence in your technical ability, this role will suit you. In order to succeed, you will need to be:

* CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion)
* Tenacious, and able to flourish in an autonomous role
* Hands-on and technically strong; able to hit the ground running as a key finance figure in the business
* Interestd in sport, fashion, and/or retail, and able to get behind a growing brand
* Flexible and open to taking on new responsibilities
* Well-versed in international accounting principles
* Ready to take a step into a challenging and rewarding career

Retail experience in a former life is also likely to add value to the role, and highly desirable.
