International Tax Manager, Merseyside, to £70k + bonus

An excellent opportunity to deal with wide ranging international tax work in-house in Merseyside. This new role would suit a Big 4 trained senior manager or someone who already has experience of working in-house in corporate tax. In this role you will assist the Head of Tax & Treasury with primarily corporate income tax focussed advisory projects including M&A work (both due diligence and integration), financing, restructuring and appropriate tax planning, implementation of the Group’s tax strategy and providing advice to the business on a wide variety of business transactions. This will include advising and making recommendations in respect of transfer pricing issues across the group, and leading the Group’s transfer pricing strategy, including supporting in the documentation and maintenance and oversight of transfer pricing documentation and compliance. Giving ad hoc support and guidance to the Business Units across a significant number of territories as the need arises. You will advise the Group on the latest developments in international tax law and their impact on the Group. You will maintain good relationships with local tax advisers and tax authorities and manage any tax audits, together with local business finance teams and advisors. Alongside advisory work you will provide support for US GAAP quarter end and year-end financial reporting as needed.
