Our client is a major international business; their in-house tax team seeks to hire two international corporate tax specialists. These positions have arisen in part due to a reorganisation and current expansion and the organisation’s ambitious growth plans. These roles would suit UK qualified (ACA, CTA, ICAS or equivalent) individuals with a mix of UK and international corporate tax experience. Transfer pricing experience would also be extremely helpful. Reporting to the Director of Tax and Treasury you will provide support to a significant component of the group’s international business. Particular areas of focus will include supporting significant M&A activity, ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining quality reporting, performing appropriate planning, increasing the awareness of the impact of tax on business activities and generally delivering value to the organisation. Day to day this role will involve the provision of support in the following areas:

• Compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Tax analysis / due diligence and provision of advice in relation to acquisitions, disposals and reorganisations.
• All round tax support to the business in the UK and abroad.
• Advising on the tax aspects of contracts.
• Developing / maintaining tax forecasts and models.
• Management of responses to tax enquiries / audits.
• Development of internal tax processes and implementation of group policies.
• Tax and social security implications arising out of international assignments.
• Compliance with transfer pricing regulations and preparation of local transfer pricing documentation.
• Tax reporting.
• Identification of issues, risks and opportunities.
• Creation / protection and optimisation of value through the pursuit of effective strategies capitalising on local and cross border opportunities.
• Contributing to industry / government consultations.

It is likely that you will have trained in a large accountancy firm or in industry and will have a solid foundation in UK corporate tax and knowledge of accounting. With an interest in and experience of international tax you will need sound communication skills and the ability to at times work autonomously on projects and be able to ‘self start’ and deliver projects without close management. It is envisaged that you will become a key advisor to the wider business.

In return for your experience our client offers excellent quality work and a great salary and benefits package. There is also scope for advancement.
