Your new role
As a International Tax Manager some of your key responsibilities will involve:
* Provide UK corporate income tax advice and assist in tax planning initiatives and TP projects.
* Independently manage smaller projects and support the UK tax director in large international tax projects;
* Manage and coordinate UK M&A projects;
* Manage relevant UK tax audits;
* Work closely with the Tax Compliance & Reporting team to ensure that transactions are accurately and efficiently recorded in the tax computations and accounts.
* Also work closely with non-tax colleagues in the finance and legal departments;
* Proactively suggest improvements for the monitoring of tax risk and tax reporting;
* Maintain relationship with external advisors and tax authorities.
* Ensure compliance with applicable local rules and group policies and guidelines
* Responsible for working in accordance with the groups' Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the groups' policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
What you'll need to succeed
As an International Tax Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Education:
* Degree qualified or equivalent
Professional:
* Qualified accountant ACA, CTA or equivalent
Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
* Post-qualification experience within international tax, preferably gained within a big four consultancy firm or large multi-national organisation;
* In-house experience considered beneficial, ideally within a global organisation;
* Excellent commercial and analytical skills;
* Intelligent and able to think on their feet;
* Hands-on, team player able to flex working style for different situations;
* Pro-actively work with the rest of Finance and the business.
