Interim VAT Senior Manager, London, to £500 per day

The role

Responsible for the VAT compliance and VAT advisory requirements for the EMEA Group. This would involve:

* First point of contact for all VAT advisory issues and Stamp Duty and Stamp Duty Land Tax
* leading all VAT aspects of transactions from due diligence, internal tax analysis papers and liaising with external tax advisers
* managing the VAT tax compliance including partial exemption calculations, capital goods scheme returns
* managing tax in cash forecasting and business plans
* continuously looking for ways to optimise the tax position of the Regional and corporate group
* being involved in ad-hoc EMEA and group wide projects

About you

* Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) and/or Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) (or equivalent)
* 5 + year's Indirect Tax work experience within Big 4 or industry with extensive knowledge of Indirect Taxes across the EU or Globally
* Working knowledge of Indirect Tax compliance processes, from data extraction to return submission
* Strong understanding of general accounting principles and sound commercial awareness essential
* Good organisational and project management skills and ability to prioritise personal workload
* Self starter with strong project management skills and is capable to step into vat technical projects including cross border
* Excellent English writing and speaking skills and computer literacy skills.
