Senior Taxation Specialist

The primary role of Group Tax is to:
* Provide strategic tax direction to the Group;
* Ensure business opportunities and transactions are optimised from a tax efficiency purpose in a sustainable and
responsible manner; and
* Ensure that tax risks, both financial and reputational, are managed and mitigated in a manner consistent with internal risk management practices.

Working within the Group's operating model, Group Tax:
* Undertakes tax work for the Group, head office, treasury and IT support entities;
* Partners with the tax teams in Asia, US, and our key UK Business Units (BU); and
* Provides oversight of tax in Pru Africa.

Group Tax is structured with a focus on the following key activities:
* Tax strategy / Global tax policy
* Business partnering
* Advisory
* Compliance
* Reporting
* Risk management and assurance

In addition specific focus will be given to Knowledge Management and Information Analytics.

Individuals within Group Tax will operate across a number of activities in a variety of capacities including some or all of having lead responsibility for one or more activities, being the business partner for one or more BUs, having SME responsibility within activities or being a team member in one or more activities.

Individuals will be assigned a mix of responsibilities reflecting their skills and experience. These responsibilities will change over time, and from time to time, but it would be expected that in any one year, an individual's responsibilities will remain largely the same.
