Change Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with a high profile, successful organisation based in Edinburgh City Centre.

Due to significant growth, the business are looking to implement a brand new financial system that will improve efficiencies and help elevate the business to the next level. There are a number of high profile, global projects underway and this is a very exciting time to join the business and play a key part in this growth.

The Project & Systems Accountant will be an integral part of a project team focussing on the development and improvement of efficient, robust business processes. As a newly-created role, it will be a visible and value-add appointment, designed to allow the business to continue its growth strategy whilst aligning its current divisions onto a fully-integrated systems platform.

The role:

· To ensure that the delivered solution is fit for purpose and meets the needs of the Operational Finance team
· Document, update and improve all existing Finance process and systems
· Use you initiative to improve existing processes and procedures
· Work within the Project team to support the build, test and delivery of the Operational Finance components of the new system
· The role will encompass all aspects of ERP delivery including supporting data conversion activities, writing and executing test scripts, supporting preparation of training and process documentation and other project activity
· Work closely with the Operational finance team to ensure that they are kept informed of progress, issues and actions relating to the new project.
· To prepare and implement Lean processing methodologies throughout Finance function
· Ad hoc project work

The candidate:

The ideal candidate for the Project & Systems Accountant role will hold an accountancy qualification with strong analytical ability, a broad commercial outlook and an appetite for process improvement and systems development. In terms of experience and background, the ideal profile is as follows:

· ACCA/CIMA/ICAS Qualified with minimum 4 years’ experience
· Previous project experience is essential
· An understanding of ERP systems and preferably previous experience of working on a systems implementation project - Experience of Agresso is desirable
· Joint venture accounting is also desirable
