Corporate Tax Manager, Global Logistics, Sheffield

Your new company
I am working in partnership with a truly global logistics and mail delivery company based in Sheffield to recruit an Employment Tax Manager. This is an exciting time to join a thriving international organisation in a brand new role created due to company growth.

Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Corporation Tax, you will be responsible for providing support to the Head of Corporation Tax and International and Tax Projects Manager. Key accountabilities for this role include; preparing tax computations and returns for UK companies, liaising with joint ventures and associates to secure payment for tax losses and providing corporation tax input. You will be responsible for dealing with HMRC in meetings and correspondence, negotiating and answering queries. You will also be expected to keep abreast of developments in tax legislation, case law and practice, maintain and update the group's processes in relation to its tax compliance obligations. The role also requires the provision of training and guidance to staff at various levels.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be enthusiastic, proactive and a keen learner with the ability to work to tight deadlines. You will possess outstanding interpersonal skills and be able to deliver professional advice on complex tax matters to non-tax specialists. It is essential that you have strong IT skills as well as research, numerical and analytical skills. You will ideally possess the CTA qualification, however candidates with a proven track record in a similar role will be considered.
