Business Tax Manager, London

This is a ranked practice with a significant international network (now one of the largest outside the Big 4) and an extremely successful corporate tax team. The corporate tax team has no problem attracting work and is one of the most profitable sections in the firm. The firm has a high ratio of partners to staff which means greater partner contact for you as a senior professional. Clients are primarily AIM listed companies and sizeable SME’s from a diverse range of industries.

The role:

•Working with a partner to develop opportunities in relation to tax problems
•Assisting and driving a variety of ad-hoc tax consultancy assignments
•Researching technical queries as part of wider projects
•Supervising, dealing with and reviewing compliance work
•Liaising with clients and forming effective relationships

You will provide advice and solutions to a range of corporate entities and their owners, covering all sectors and stages of the business life cycle. Areas the team cover include: Corporate tax advisory, capital allowances, compliance tax, equity and remuneration planning, exit and succession planning, international issues, property tax, R&D, business reorganisations and reconstructions. In addition to the tax technical work, you will also deal with associated compliance and act as a technical resource.

The firm wants to hire someone with the desire to make senior manager and (ideally) progress towards partner. It is anticipated that you will progress to senior manager in a 24-36 month time-frame.
