JOB DESCRIPTION
The Tax Accountant will be responsible for:
Preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provision in accordance with US GAAP and US statutory reporting requirements
Preparation of federal, state and local income tax returns for US Insurance and Non-insurance corporations
Preparation of state, local and other tax compliance
Preparation of US information filings for foreign entities and foreign tax credit calculations
Assisting with federal, state and local tax authority audits
Identifying opportunities and making recommendations to reduce taxes and minimize audit exposure
Utilizing software and systems to improve quality of work, improve processes and increase efficiency
REQUIRED SKILLS
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
1-5 years of tax experience, including experience in a Big 4 and/or corporate tax department
Polished and professional demeanor
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multitask
Proficiency with computer platforms and applications
Desired Skills
Insurance / reinsurance experience
Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Tax Provision and OneSource income knowledge
