Business Tax Trainee - City of London - Top 30 Firm, to £27k

A Top 30 Firm of Chartered Accountants are recruiting for a Business Tax Trainee for their City of London office.

The Role

You will work in the firm’s Business Tax Group, which provides a number of tax services for businesses of a variety of sizes. Although the Group’s work is predominantly compliance based, due to the large proportion of OMBs within the client portfolio there is also a large advisory component.

Key responsibilities within the Business Tax Group will include;
• Supporting client teams in preparation of company and partnership tax returns and advising on tax payments
• Drafting correspondence with HMRC and clients
• Assisting with technical research
• Supporting administration of the department

You will also have the opportunity to undertake short secondments to other departments within the firm, which will give you experience and on-the-job training in a variety of other accounting tasks including accounts preparation, VAT compliance, and audit work.

The Candidate

• Part or fully qualified AAT/ ATT
• Strong academic background
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with colleagues and clients
• Highly self-motivated
• Strong teamworking abilities
• Meticulous attention to detail and a desire to produce excellent work
• Computer literate

The firm are offering a competitive remuneration package, including full study support for the AAT and ATT qualifications, and subsequently the ACA qualification
