Central London based company is seeking a part time group tax manager for a stand alone 3 day per week role, reporting into the Group Finance Director. This is a diverse role offering an even split of compliance and tax advisory work.
Duties
Tax Compliance
* Preparation and submission of computations and returns of relevant group companies and partnerships
* Arrangement of quarterly payments of corporation tax, liaison with accounts to organise payments
* Correspondence and queries with HMRC
* preparation and submission of world-wide debt cap return
* maintenance of deferred tax schedules for year-end accounts, and throughout year to provide potential capital gains tax figures for possible disposals
* IFRS calculations
Tax Planning / Projects
* Liaison with directors and external advisors as necessary to review suitable tax structures for new acquisitions/developments, calculate capital gains and capital allowances, etc
* Advising on tax technical aspects of structuring of deals as necessary
* Project management
* Liquidation of companies and associated tax issues, including drafting/reviewing relevant board minutes
* Ad hoc advice on VAT, PAYE
* Intercompany loans - reviewing accounts, drafting loan agreements, drafting board minutes, calculating interest charges ensuring no unnecessary tax issues e.g. loans from non-residents
About you
* ACA/ACCA and/or CTA Qualified
* Minimum 5 years PQE
* Practical, hands on corporate tax compliance experience essential
* Ability to lead and execute tax advisory projects
* Aptitude to understand indirect tax issues
* Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
