Investment and real estate business seeking a first time stand-alone Senior Tax Manager on a 3 day a week basis.
The role
* Responsibility for all aspects of UK direct and indirect taxation:
* Preparation and submission of Corporation Tax computations and returns for all entities
* Ensure robust processes and controls are maintained in respect of tax compliance
* Calculation of quarterly installment payments and resolution of payment application issues
* Management of the day to day relationship with the CRM and other HMRC contacts.
* Liaison with HMRC across all taxes with regards to compliance and areas of uncertainty.
* Review of group's quarterly VAT return and resolution of queries regarding treatment as they arise
* PAYE settlement agreement
* Overview of P11d's preparation
* Providing practical and timely advice on the tax impacts of specific business transactions and in particular including transactional advice on property disposals and acquisitions.
* Strategic tax planning for the group including ownership of the tax strategy agreed by the Board. Identifying and implementing planning opportunities to minimize the group's tax liabilities.
* Manage relationship with external tax adviser as required
* Manage the group's tax financial reporting obligations and liaise with external auditors as required.
About you
* Qualified ACA and/or CTA with significant PQE experience in corporate tax.
* Strong technical knowledge (UK tax and UK GAAP)
* Be able to develop effective working relationships both internally and externally.
* Systems literate as will be required to specify, implement and operate tax package
