Interim Indirect Tax Analyst, Berkshire, to £350 per day (4 days a week an option)

The company

A multinational manufacturing business with a large European HQ's in Berkshire, seeking an Interim VAT analyst to report into Head of Tax (Europe)

The role

* Effectively manage risk and compliance for all VAT, Intrastat, European Sales List, Local Listings and annual reporting obligations for all branch VAT registrations.
* To support the business, providing guidance, training and requirements for treatments on all new supplies of goods, services and contract arrangements.
* Provide in-house consulting services to mitigate risk and maximise opportunities
* Analysis and final review of VAT, ESL and Intrastat reporting for each European branch in line with the country specific procedures and sign off
* Timely and accurate submissions to authorities (monthly, quarterly and annually).
* Provide internal VAT advice to the business in Europe
* Support SSC VAT Team for Pan-European VAT process and recommendations
* Support internal audits

About you

* Experienced tax professional with a minimum of 5 years PQE with previous experience of indirect international taxes preferably with in-house experience within an international group.
* Proven track record for cross border tax planning and international indirect tax management
* Experience of interpreting VAT law and applying it in practice
* Experience of VAT processes and relevant internal control frameworks

Will consider candidates on a 4 day a week basis
