Special Projects Executive, Grant Thornton, Sheffield / Leeds

Job Description:

You will undertake varied accounting assignments including preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts, statutory financial statements, and consolidated financial statements
You could go on secondment to prepare year-end financial statements, take on an interim role in the finance team or support a project to improve controls and processes
all projects are bespoke for every client you will work with; the role has a lot of variety and you will test your solid accounting background and skills on every client project

Highly professional attitude to providing a quality service in a deadline based environment
Strong accounting skills and technical knowledge on financial reporting matters
Demonstrate good awareness of the importance of risk management (client acceptance, independence, money laundering) issues.
The ability to work from first principles and successfully deal with “clients in a mess”.
Strong client relationship skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Strong communication skills (written and oral)
Self-motivated and have a willingness to develop existing skills and knowledge
