A Group VAT Manager job with a global utilities company based in West Yorkshire. Salary up to £48,000 pro rata

I am working in partnership with a global utilities company to recruit a Group VAT Manager to join their dynamic Tax and Treasury team.
Your new role
As Group VAT Manager you will report to the Group Tax Manager and be responsible for VAT compliance as well as providing VAT and other indirect tax advice to the business. You will also be the point of contact between the business and HMRC on VAT and other indirect tax issues. Additionally, you will be expected to work with the wider Tax and Treasury team, particularly in the area of corporation tax.
What you'll need to succeed
You will possess the CTA or ACA qualification or equivalent and have in-depth experience of VAT compliance gained either within a leading firm of accountants or within an in-house tax function. You will also have had exposure to dealing with HMRC and some knowledge of other areas of Taxation. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate complex and technical issues to both financial and non-financial people. You will be a competent user of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and working knowledge of SAP would be beneficial. Previous experience of working in the utilities sector would also be desirable. You must also posses a valid EU driving licence.
