I am working in partnership with a global utilities company based in West Yorkshire to recruit an Assistant Cash & Banking Manager to join their dynamic Tax and Treasury team.
Your new role
In the newly created role of Assistant Cash & Banking Manager, you will work closely with the Cash & Banking Manager, assisting in managing group debt and cash resources, raising and investing short term funds and surpluses, managing interest rate and currency exposure and agreeing and maintaining documentation. This is an exciting opportunity to join the organisation as there will be the opportunity to progress to Cash & Banking Manager in the next 3 years.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience of cash and banking management allied to practical knowledge of deposits and loans and hedging instruments such as swaps and bonds. You will also have some existing knowledge of electronic banking and treasury management systems and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word. You will also be personable and have good communication skills as the role will involve liaising with and providing assistance to the Group Treasurer, Group Tax Manager, Group VAT Manager and the Group Interest & Borrowing Manager.
