AJ Chambers are currently working with a boutique firm of Chartered Accountants based in the Glasgow area who, due to ongoing expansion, have a fantastic opportunity for a VAT Senior Manager to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
• Developing and managing client relationships
• Employee development and training
• Identification and generation of new work
• Maintaining and improving working relationships with team
• Business development
Key Candidate Attributes
• Ideally candidates will be CTA qualified with a minimum of 5 years VAT experience, preferably gained within a practice environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including good presentation skills
• Ability to use relevant research tools (legislation/tolls etc.) for technical issues in a bid to determine the correct treatment/answer.
• Comfortable managing and taking responsibility for own workload, setting personal goals, objectives and deadlines
• Capable of keeping up to date with relevant changes in legislation and sector
• Excellent Technical knowledge of VAT registrations and deregistration’s / Liability of income / Recovery of VAT on expenditure / Capital
Goods Scheme / Land and property issues / EU acquisitions and despatches / Imports and exports
Salary: £70,000 negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
