Our client is a leading global brokerage and solutions company that helps clients
around the world turn risk into a path for growth. They are looking for a VAT Manager to join their team, the person should spend 2/3 days in the London Office, plus 2 days in their other office in the UK (so travel is required)
Provide VAT advice for IT system integration projects.
Support and Implement Indirect tax strategy in UK.
Provide IPT advice and manage the IPT intranet sight with relevant updates and
communications.
Support legal entity rationalization projects.
Become familiar with the business in order that tax planning and compliance is
undertaken with a sound knowledge of the commercial environment.
Instigate tax planning projects in collaboration with business managers to avoid/mitigate
VAT liability.
Propose a PE method for the reporting and recovery of group VAT.
Review of contracts, bids and tenders and provide indirect tax advice to the business in
this respect.
Monitor changes/developments in international tax laws and recommend necessary
changes.
Provide VAT advice on transfer pricing policy with a view to minimize additional VAT cost.
Assisting with other advisory and project work, as required
Knowledge of European VAT directive and UK VAT act is essential.
Good knowledge of emerging UK and EU case law relating to Indirect tax is essential
