Come and find out why we at Grant Thornton UK have been named #12 'Best Places to Work' 2017 in Glassdoor's Employees Choice survey.

What we're looking for:

You'll have a genuine interest in our clients. We want to provide a distinctive service and unlock potential for growth in dynamic organisations.
You'll know that what you do matters. As an organisation we want to be known for how we do business, not simply what we do. So, we need people who know that every act matters -from the simple things to the insights we bring to clients.
You'll seize opportunities. We want to adapt quickly and wisely to changing conditions to optimise growth for both our clients and ourselves.
You'll apply critical reasoning to bring clarity and insight. We do it by asking great questions, listening and drawing on our collective knowledge and experience to really help others grow.

What you'll be doing:

As a Private Client Assistant Manager you will advise high net worth individuals and entrepreneurs on protecting their wealth and developing tax efficient structures unique to their personal experiences:

you’ll work towards building an understanding of potential selling into clients and intermediaries to promote the firm’s tax expertise and other services to internal and external clients
you'll engender trust and respect from clients by producing high quality tax advice accurately, whilst meeting expectations and meeting deadlines
you’ll provide intelligent and creative solutions to client tax issues in both a proactive and reactive manner
you’ll be responsible for planning and performing tax advisory assignments
you’ll ensure compliance with internal procedures including the completion of take-on clients whilst keeping partners and managers informed on the progress of each job
you'll be responsible for mentoring and coaching executives and building the respect of peers and subordinates to drive forward excellence across the team.

Education, experience and qualifications:

you'll be professionally qualified (ATT, ACA, ACCA or CTA)
you'll demonstrate a strong up to date post qualified tax knowledge
you'll be comfortable using Microsoft packages

The advertised role is for an Assistant Tax Manager into the Norwich office - we would also consider strong applicants at Tax Manager.
