JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for:
Managing multiple sophisticated client engagements for High net Worth individuals and family groups
Reviewing complex individual tax returns and related fiduciary, partnership, corporate and nonprofit returns
Direct communication with clients and their advisors
Strategizing with Senior Management regarding tax planning
Giving clients’ recommendations and guidance on how to achieve their goals
Assisting in identifying opportunities for growth
Researching and resolving tax issues and notices; handling Federal, State and Local tax examinations
Working closely with staff and Senior Management to mentor, train, supervise and evaluate staff
REQUIRED SKILLS
8+ years of Technical Tax experience with High Net Worth individuals, their Family Groups and related entities; 3+ years of Management experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Taxation and/or a related field
CPA or parts passed
Solid Tax background (Compliance, Corporate, Fiduciary, Individual, Partnership, Research & Planning)
Computer savvy
Microsoft Excel proficient
Solid analytical and research skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
Desired Skills
Master's Degree in Accounting, Taxation and/or a related field
Working knowledge of CCH Profx and BNA Tax Planner
