FTSE100 International Tax Manager, London, over £100k base + benefits

As International Tax Manager, your principal area of concern will be to assist in managing the group’s tax affairs, delivering the group’s tax strategy, providing international tax support to the Group businesses in particular on M&A, transfer pricing, tax risk and tax treasury projects.

Key responsibilities:

International tax advisory:

• Provide tax support for international M&A activity, including due diligence, financing, structuring & integration
• Assistance with tax considerations of organic international growth
• Provide practical & timely advice to requests from the businesses for tax input on projects
• Involvement in overseas tax audits including negotiations with revenue authorities.

Transfer pricing:

• Input into group’s tax policy, including publication of a tax strategy in UK. Ensure compliance with group’s tax principles
• Consider transfer pricing issues, ensuring material intra-group arrangements are priced appropriately
• Ensure transfer pricing master file & local file documentation requirements are met
• Manage APA programme, renewing existing APAs and applying for new APAs as group expands
• Manage preparation & submission of the country-by-country reporting template & associated questions arising from that reporting.

Tax Treasury & ETR:

• Support Group Tax Director with identification of opportunities, developing strategies, & implementation of tax related projects
• Consideration of appropriate funding structure for overseas expansion
• Develop & maintain details of material tax risks around the group, feeding details into the year end group reporting process
• Identifysurplus cash in non UK subsidiaries & find the best method of repatriating the funds to UK
• Consider tax implications of group’s foreign exchange hedging policy & plan to mitigate tax consequences
• Evaluate the effect of UK & overseas tax law changes on group
• Consideration of CFC regulations as they apply to group.

Business Partnering:

• Regularly brief Finance Director, Board & senior finance community on material tax related matters
• Work with UK Tax Manager to ensure accurate & full disclosure of all relevant international tax matters in the UK corporation tax returns
• Work with non-UK based in-house tax team on international tax projects & to understand local tax issues relevant to the group
• Advise other areas within head office functions
• Maintain relationships with global tax advisors in material jurisdictions in which group operates.

• ACA/CTA qualified or equivalent
• Proven UK & international tax experience
• Industry experience preferred
