VAT TAX SENIOR ASSOCIATE SAUDI

Our Big 4 client is looking for a VAT Tax Senior Associate for offices in Saudi including Jeddah and Riyadh.
As a VAT Senior Associate you will play a key role in:
Assisting the Assistant Managers, Managers and Senior Managers in the interpretation of the VAT Act, planning and restructuring
Consulting and liaising with clients on matters of a compliance type nature, checking schedules and issuing VAT Returns
Identifying exposure in respect of VAT
Drafting reports in respect of reviews
Researching into local and offshore legislation and case law
Actively working with some practice management issues associated with the VAT department, such as work-in-progress monitoring
Having a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture
 
Requirements:
Prior VAT experience gained within professional services
Excellent client facing, relationship building and business development skills, coupled with commercial awareness
Current relevant knowledge of VAT Act and relevant case law
At least 2-3 years’ VAT related work experience
Attention to detail
Demonstrate a professional work ethic and integrity
Strong planning, organizational and inter-personal skills
Ability to tolerate pressure
An excellent communicator, analytical, organised, structured and result orientated approach to work
An ability to market and grow the division

Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments 
Availability to travel within the GCC
Qualifications: 
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field
Strong academic credentials (Minimum GPA of 3.3)
Excellent research skills and strong written and verbal communications skills required.
Fluent in English (Reading, Speaking and Writing)
Fluent in Arabic (Reading, Speaking and Writing) ‑ Arabic skills are optional
