Senior Manager - International Tax, Luxembourg

My client is seeking a Senior Manager International Tax to join the Tax Department based in its Luxembourg headquarters. The ideal candidate will be able to work with a high level of collegiality, functioning as a tax adviser and project supervisor, and be comfortable directly liaising with various business teams within the company and with other members of the global tax department. Additionally strong transfer pricing experience is preferred.

Primary duties include:

* Researching advanced international tax issues - working with taxing authorities and outside advisers as necessary - as part of a tax team involved in supporting EU business initiatives
* Assist with developing and evaluating European planning opportunities providing benefits to the Company
* Assist with developing strategic and operational implementation work plans and ability to measure results against plans
* Assist with audits
* Assists with implementation of agreed-upon European tax strategies and projects
* Providing support and assistance to the transfer pricing team
* Providing support to the Luxembourg accounting team responsible for accounting for intercompany transactions
* Managing and coordinating European tax audits, including audit preparation, responding to document requests, etc.
* Reviewing financial data for proper application of tax laws and advising on development and maintenance of accounting systems which provide tax information required to be reported
* Maintaining and communicating knowledge of past, present and potential future European corporate tax laws, regulations, rulings, procedures and court decisions
* Assisting with managing relationships with outside tax consultants and regulatory authorities on an ongoing basis

Looking for

* International income tax experience with a public accounting firm, major law firm, and/or in industry, preferably a multinational corporation
* Bachelor's degree required, preferred in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field or law
* Advanced analytical and computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word
