VAT Manager – Basel, Switzerland.

Kingpin International is partnering exclusively with a Multinational business who are looking to hire a VAT Manager based in Basel, Switzerland.

Some of the key areas of responsibility for this VAT Manager role will include:

• Offer VAT advice across the numerous internal stakeholders – in particular European operations.
• Provide continuous VAT training which includes running seminars & workshops.
• Monitor VAT compliance on commercial documents; Sales invoices, Credit and Debit Notes, etc.
• Overview all VAT declarations for all the active EU country VAT registrations.
• Pursue best practices and improved compliance quality in the area of VAT: e.g. centralize VAT compliance / centralize VAT reporting,
• VAT optimization: review existing processes and initiate simplifications/improvements, maximize VAT reclaiming efficiency.
• Risk management: review of documents, declarations/returns and setup, pre-work/preparation for future queries from all tax
authorities.

To be considered for this VAT Manager role, then it likely you will have the following profile;

• A University Degree in Law, Financial/ Accounting, Economics or Business Administration (or similar)
• In depth knowledge of European cross border VAT (goods and services).
• Approx. 5 years’ dedicated experience in European VAT gained within a multinational business environment.
• Fluency in English is essential and ideally German, plus any other European languages; in particular from the CCE region.
• Extremely effective Team player along with excellent communication and networking skills.
• Ability to work in a structured, independent and result-driven way along with having strong analytical capabilities.
