As a member of the European Tax Team you will work with international tax offices, European finance teams and broader international commercial stakeholders.
Detailed Job Description
This individual will assist the European Tax Team in the management of:
• Corporate income tax compliance and payments;
• Indirect tax compliance and payments;
• Transfer pricing declarations;
• Global Trade functions in the administration of Intrastat reporting; and
• Development of effective indirect tax risk management controls in line with tax risk policies.
Be responsible for the preparation of:
• Quarterly tax provision accounting for nominated entities in Europe; and
• Monthly UK VAT returns and EC Sales Listings for nominated entities.
Other areas of responsibility include:
• Involvement in a global VAT project to improve and enhance the indirect tax reporting systems and processes, operating as part of a multinational team;
• Exposure to Global Mobility issues in respect of expatriate and inpatriate employees;
• Providing research and draft technical memos in relation to corporate income tax, VAT, transfer pricing, expatriate and employment tax issues in Europe; and
• Attending and leading tax issue discussions with the Finance teams of the nominated entities within Europe.
Candidate's Profile
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years previous experience in either Direct or Indirect Tax, having worked in either an accountancy firm or previous industry role.
As this position partners with international offices, the successful applicant will have strong communication skills, a flexible approach to their work, as well as an appreciation for different cultures and time zones.
The role can be based in either London or Bristol
