We are working with a leading firm of Accountants on the South Coast who are looking to bolster their Corporate tax team with the hire of a senior and/or Assistant Manager.

The role will be based in their Poole/Bournemouth office.

As a Tax Senior you will work for two Tax Directors and a Tax Partner directly, this is an invaluable chance to get great experience.
We have an exciting list of client predominantly based on the South Coast. They range from clients in retail, manufacturing and high technology sectors.

As an Assistant Manager in terms of corporate tax compliance the role will be to take on a portfolio as acting manager and take control of the corporate tax workflow requirements for the whole tax team and will manage the work allocated to the students within the team

You will assist the directors and partner with the delivery of advisory assignments – requiring and providing an opportunity to develop in a breadth of skills ranging from R&D, capital allowances, share schemes, exit planning, remuneration planning, due diligence and M&A. The advisory role may include assisting with IHT and other estate planning if that is required. This will depend on the experience of the candidate applying.

For these roles you will need

ACA or CTA or equivalent (preferably corporate route)
Demonstrate broad and strong technical knowledge and experience;
Some experience of identifying opportunities for business development on tax clients and across other service lines;
Ideally proficient in Alphatax, or similar systems;
Experience of managing the firm’s financial exposure, billing, and adjusting the approach to work depending on the available budget would be desired but not essential.
