International Mergers and Acquisitions Tax Director (M&A), Charlotte, NC – Top 30 National CPA Firm

Here at I.T.S we have been engaged by a Top 30 national CPA firm to help them in locating a high calibre M&A Tax Director who can work up to Partnership level over the next 12-24 months. This firm has a concentration of offices across the South East of the USA and are a leading firm in every location they serve.

The Firm’s transaction advisory services (“TAS”) practice assists clients by providing financial due diligence, tax and information technology due diligence, primarily focusing on buy-side and sell-side assistance, to private equity funds, mezzanine funds and corporate buyers. The TAS practice is included within the Firm’s Private Equity practice, which provides private equity clients and their related portfolio companies a full range of services to meet their needs, including assisting with corporate strategy, finance, transaction and audit and tax services.

The Firm is searching for a Director who would work within the Firm’s transaction advisory services practice with a heavy emphasis in tax services associated with Merger & Acquisition (“M&A”) related activities. Experience in coordinating M&A tax diligence matters is necessary for this position, as this person will lead and manage multiple M&A related tax engagements. This person will also be responsible for participating in due diligence projects and other ancillary services related to acquisitions by private equity funds and corporate buyers.

You will lead and manage M&A tax engagements, participating in due diligence projects related to the acquisitions by private equity investor groups and strategic corporate buyers. You will perform technical review of tax filings and tax data of varying complexity. You will provide tax diligence and structuring advice to clients as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

You will need to have a Bachelors degree in accounting; Masters degree in Tax preferred. You must have 10+ years recent public accounting firm experience, including managing multiple tax accounting projects and client engagements; directing and scheduling staff and managing work flow. CPA certification is vital.
