JOB DESCRIPTION

The High Net Worth Tax Manager will:
• Review federal, state and city income tax returns for individuals, trusts, S- Corporations and partnerships; review income tax projections; and, review and/or prepare quarterly estimated tax projections
• Research and interpret the Internal Revenue Code, various State Tax Codes, Federal Estate and Gift Tax Code, Private Letter Rulings, Revenue Rulings and Tax Court Cases
• Provide analyses of financial, gift, estate, and income tax issues of High Net Worth individuals and families
• Review of financial statements and other special projects such as various schedules for income tax and estate planning purposes
• Strategize with Partners regarding tax planning
• Research and resolution of tax issues and notices
• Manage workflow and staff


REQUIRED SKILLS
• 5+ years of Tax experience (Compliance and Individual)
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Experience working within the Financial Services industry - hedge fund managers and management companies
• Experience working with High Net Worth families
• Experience and working knowledge of Trust and Estate issues
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
• Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
