A national CPA firm located in New York City is actively seeking a seasoned Tax professional for a rewarding Senior role within their Real Estate Group. The Real Estate Tax Senior will prepare complex corporate, partnership and individual returns, and work on a portfolio of diverse real estate clients that include owner/operators of real estate.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Real Estate Group Tax Senior will:
• Assist clients with fundamental Tax Planning analysis
• Analyze client records to determine tax consequences and mitigate risk areas
• Research Tax regulations and code sections for preparation of tax returns
• Research issues involved in Federal, state and local tax planning projects
• Develop and maintain positive, productive and professional relationships with clients
• Work with partners and clients to provide maximum tax efficiency
• Manage multiple clients’ needs at the same time
• Coordinate tax compliance requirements with the audit staff
• Maintain extensive contact with clients requiring strong interpersonal skills
• Develop and guide staff professionals by providing effective performance feedback and training
• Complete routine administrative tasks
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 2-3 years of recent Real Estate Tax experience working in the Tax Department of a quality CPA Firm
• Demonstrated knowledge of client’s business
• Broad knowledge and experience with investment partnerships
• Strong attention to detail
• Polished and professional demeanor
• Expert-level knowledge of commercial real estate practices
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multitask
Desired Skills
• CPA, MS in Taxation and/or LLM
• Knowledge of S-Corporations
