VAT Trainee (Graduate role)

The Business Tax department provides taxation services to its mainly corporate, clients. It prepares tax provisions for financial statements, tax returns and computations, carries out tax consultancy work, and deals with HMRC, clients and third parties.

Your new role
You will be on the VAT team providing VAT services to clients. You will get exposure to a whole range of duties ranging from basic compliance through to high-level advisory work. You will be responsible for preparing VAT returns, VAT planning/consultancy work and completing Know Your Client tasks.

What you'll need to succeed
You must be a graduate with a 2.1 keen on building a career within Tax especially VAT. You must have good communication and presentation skills as you will need to liase with HMRC, clients and third parties. You will be able to work under pressure with accuracy and focus.
