Senior In-house Tax Manager, International, London, to £100k + bonus + pension

Exclusively assigned to Nebula Partners. This privately held investment management business has a rich history and international operations spanning twenty countries. Following a period of exponential growth across EMEA and LatAm, the need has arisen to hire a stand alone Senior Tax Manager to oversee strategy and manage risk across all non-US businesses.
In this new created position, you will report to the Regional Head of Finance and manage all tax matters relating to $30bn of assets under management. As part of the London hub, which serves 10 countries directly, you will partner closely with senior stakeholders on a wide range of tax issues including; outsourced compliance, transfer pricing, permanent establishment, partial exemption, payroll taxes and M&A activity.
To succeed, you will be professionally trained (ACA/CTA), with a UK corporate tax background and international exposure. Existing in-house experience and knowledge of equities, fixed income and PE investments would prove useful. Scope of role:
Corporate direct and indirect tax as well as payroll tax matters
Covering the region including European entities and multiple branches
Lead relationships in EMEA and LatAm with our external tax advisors
Opportunity to extend role into Asia
Report to the Regional Head of Finance and Head of Tax, US.

Responsibilities:
Primary contact point for all tax related enquiries relating to the Region’s branches and subsidiaries
Manage the preparation and submission process with external advisors for corporation and other direct and indirect (VAT) tax returns for all EMEA/LatAm entities and jurisdictions
Act as key adviser on employee equity, benefits and payroll taxes across all EMEA jurisdictions
Liaise and manage all EMEA relationships with professional external tax advisers at accountancy and legal firms
Liaise and manage relationships with HMRC and other tax authorities as necessary (via external advisors where language barriers make this impractical)
Guide the business through any tax audits, visits, or inspections
Involved in one off tax compliance and advisory issues such as corporate structure changes, new offices, tax impacts of product launches in new jurisdictions and changes in tax legislation.

About you:
ACA / CTA
International tax advisory experience, preferably Europe & LATAM
Direct tax background with some indirect, transfer pricing and or employment taxes exposure
Big 4 trained with commercial in-house track record
UK training preferred
Proven project and time management skills
Need ability to interact and communicate in plain language with a multitude of departments (Finance, HR, Legal, Portfolio/Fund Managers).
