Simpson Booth are representing a leading professional services firm that are looking for an Audit Assistant Manager to join their Audit practice in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a growing team, with good prospects for progression.
Main Responsibilities
- Planning and project managing all aspects of audits
- Leading teams and a direct reporting line to the manager and partner on a day to day basis
- To budget and monitor financial performance or projects in order to optimise profitability
- Report writing for Audit committees and researching in order to help resolve complex audit issues.
- Supervising and Coaching less experienced staff with the ability to give clear instructions and constructive feedback
- Building relationships with clients and representing the firm in a professional manner
- Reporting to audit managers and partners on all salient points arising from audits.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong audit technical skills
- Ideally ACA/ CA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified
- Ability to work well in a team
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
- Can Identify and pursue business opportunities
- Enthusiastic and driven individual who can cope with a positive attitude.
- Someone who wants to develop, learn and seek out internal opportunities
- Displays key leadership qualities
