A rapidly growing tech company headquartered in Brooklyn is actively seeking a self-motivated and dynamic accounting professional for a promising opportunity on their staff as their Vice President of Finance. In this role, the VP of Finance will have ultimate responsibility for driving the company's accounting, financial analysis, compliance, audit, tax, finance operations and services.

The Vice President of Finance will:
• Oversee, direct and organize the work of our global finance team by inspiring trust, providing clear direction and effectively attracting and deploying talent
• Ensure the smooth delivery of a well-prepared timely and accurate internal financial reporting package
• Develop, refine and prepare financial information for the Board and Investors
• Support continued efforts to develop a more efficient, integrated operating model and financial infrastructure
• Oversee the company’s financial systems assessing, proposing and implementing system enhancements and drive process improvements
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory filings including corporate income tax, state and local tax, VAT and other registrations/filings
• Manage external relationships with auditors and tax preparers
• Investigate possible cost savings and maximize in house work
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from a four-year college or university
• 8+ years of relevant experience working in a financial or accounting managerial role
• 3+ years of demonstrated success supervising a high performing team of finance professionals in a startup or similar fast-paced, changing environment
• Proven experience of tightly managing costs and cash flow effectively
• Strong passion for analysis with an understanding of how figures and data add context and value to decisions
• High level of experience in technical accounting, tax requirements, consolidations, multi-currency, transfer pricing, etc.
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to confidently and effectively communicate finance and accounting concepts to others who are unfamiliar with financial terms and concepts
Desired Skills
