You are an experienced Tax Investigations specialist, with a background in Code of Practice 8 and Code 9/CDF and voluntary disclosure enquiry work.
You have a Big 4 or mid tier accountancy firm or law firm background and are probably a Senior Manager or Director, perhaps with your path to progression blocked.
It is possible you simply feel the desire to undertake a new challenge in a more autonomous role, where you make the decisions and lead the direction of the TI practice.
The London office of this practice has enjoyed impressive growth in the past five years.
Business across the various tax functions is good and the Board have decided to look to expand their services within Tax Investigations that will align with the work of the existing tax practice.
Suitable applicants will have strong client facing skills and a demonstrable track record of winning work, in addition to spotting potential opportunities that may exist within the current client base.
The role will best suit someone that feels comfortable working in a medium-sized team but that is unafraid to tackle what is essentially a green-field site in London.
The rewards for success will be considerable, although the non financial benefits are also attractive – genuine autonomy, no politics and the chance to build a dedicated Tax Investigations department over time.
