A role as a Corporate Tax Manager has become available with a mid-tier tax firm based in London. This role is ideal for anyone who wants to see their career take off as this firm will allow you to progress quickly.

What is the role?

This is a firm that has a wide and varied portfolio of clients. Your job would be to support those clients and win new business on behalf of the firm. The current client list includes small owner/director companies, large privately owned companies, UK subsidiaries of overseas companies and SMEs. These could be in media, charities, new tech, manufacturing or property. But this list is not exhaustive as new clients are coming on board all the time.

You would be in an advisory role. So you need to have a full knowledge of many different areas of taxation including employment packages, EMI schemes, R&D, EIS and SEIS, s110 reconstructions, share repurchases and much more. As you can tell, your experience should be wide-ranging. But don’t worry, you will be supported by your team and will be working with some of the best in their field.

Your skill set should hopefully include:

- Business development experience
- Advisory experience where the client receives the very best customer service
- Project management experience and the ability to manage a team
- Experience with top-tier firms and high calibre clients
- Commercial knowledge to ensure the needs of the firm are always considered
- Great communication and the ability to sell services to clients where appropriate

The firm

The current corporate tax team is looking to expand and they want someone to take the helm and be a huge part of that continued success. As such, this role could soon lead to senior management roles and even on to partnership at a later stage. You will get regular appraisals, professional advancement help and continued training and development.
