In this role, the Tax Manager / Director will be responsible for handling tax provision work (ASC 740), tax planning and tax compliance for middle market clients (business and individuals). JOB DESCRIPTION
The Tax Manager / Director will be responsible for:
• Providing clients with guidance regarding reporting of ASC 740 on their financial statements
• Overseeing preparation of Federal and State Tax returns
• Reviewing accuracy of tax returns, minimizing tax liability, and providing planning opportunities
• Working to expand client base and supports business development activities
• Being the direct contact to client and manage all aspects of client accounts
• Ensuring timeliness and completeness of projects
• Mentoring, training and supervising staff and providing assistance, as needed
REQUIRED SKILLS
• 12+ years of Public Accounting experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• CPA
• Solid Tax background (Compliance, Corporate, Research & Planning)
• Current expertise with ASC 740
• Microsoft Excel proficient
• Solid analytical and project management skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
• Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
Desired Skills
• Master’s Degree in Taxation
• Knowledge of ProFx and Go File Room
