Our top Media Multinational client is looking to hire a Corporate tax manager to join their team in their Manchester office.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day tax matters of the business, across all taxes, to ensure efficiency and compliance with our legal obligations. This is a role that can create value through identification of opportunities and detailed analysis. If you don't have this broad background is not a problem as they will train you. If you come from a big 4 or small practice background this is a great opportunity to move in house.
key responsibilities
*Advising the business on the tax implications of business changes, contracts and new products
*Ensuring the business is kept up to date with changes to tax legislation including BEPs
*Developing relationships with key business functions to ensure tax issues and opportunities identified at an early stage
*Maintaining relationships with external advisers
*Liaising with HMRC on all tax matters
*Preparation of tax computations and returns
*Preparation of tax figures for group reporting purposes, including statutory accounts
*Forecasting effective tax rates and cash tax payments for budgets and medium term planning
*Consolidation and review of VAT returns
*Share scheme reporting
*Leading the R&D claim process and ensuring the claim is submitted within the relevant time limits
*Reviewing calculations of recharges to ensure adherence to the transfer pricing principles
