Corporate Tax Manager, SME Focus, Reading £50-60, 000

This mid-tier firm is expanding rapidly and offers an experienced tax consultant the opportunity to deal with high level technical work in a friendly and adult environment. The firm has a substantial presence in the SE and is investing in the Reading office. Clients are primarily growing SME’s. In addition to the UK work the firm has a network that provides a substantial amount of work from international clients.

The role:

•In addition to the complex compliance work you will provide advice on a range of tax matters and provide a general advisory service to a client base of SME’s in the 1-100 million range.
•Example of issues dealt with: corporation tax, income tax, Business reorganisations and reconstructions, CGT, tax valuations, EIS, employee share schemes.
•Promoting the tax team in the Reading office and supporting the firm
•Leasing with internal and external contacts
•Acting as a mentor figure to more junior staff
•Identifying tax opportunities and converting it into work
•Working to build good relationships with clients and acting as a trusted advisor
•Involvement in marketing and business development

To qualify:

You will need a track record of dealing with clients and business development. A background of dealing with a SME client base is a must.
