Our client a Big 4 firm is looking for a senior tax controversy manager
Responsibilities
•Supervising a team of staff to provide tax advisory services to clients in relation to the tax audits being conducted by the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department
•Managing client engagements and developing client relationships
•Help clients to comply with their tax compliance obligations, including preparing tax computations and returns, and handling correspondence with the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department
•Negotiation with the field agents
•Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local tax authorities
Requirements
•A recognized accounting or equivalent degree
•Qualified member of a professional accounting body
•Minimum of 8 year's tax experience, preferably with experience of field audit / tax investigation / government or tax regulatory bodies
•Prior experience in liaison with local tax authorities is preferred
•Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese; Mandarin will be an advantage
•Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•Chinese typing skills would be an advantage
•Excellent interpersonal skills would be an advantage
•Strong business development and organisational skills
•Analytical-minded and solid in project management
