This varied and interesting role based in Edinburgh would suit a newly qualified CA with experience of working within Corporate Taxation.

The firm offer great support and training to their staff and win business through building lasting client relationships. client services offered include Audit, Accounts, Taxation, Advisory and payroll.

Your new role

Within this varied and interesting role you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and acting as the main point of contact for the client and liaising with other advisers; overseeing the annual compliance cycle on your portfolio; reviewing tax returns, correspondence and advice drafted by more junior members of the team; maximising advisory opportunities from your portfolio of clients and dealing with ad hoc advisory and planning issues as they arise; preparing tax advisory letters, memos and reports for review by the Tax Director; helping develop the business and the seek new opportunities both within both the firm and externally by creating a network of contacts and referrers; managing WIP and billing; acting as a coach to more junior members of the team and maintaining an up-to-date technical knowledge of corporate tax matters.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have experience of working within corporate tax and experience of working with owner managed businesses is preferred. You will have strong client handling skills and the ability to develop good relationships with clients and other professionals. In addition you will be able to delegate efficiently, review work and have the ability to encourage and foster development of the more junior members of the team. Excellent communication skills are a must as is an adaptable approach. A professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CTA or ATT is preferred.
